Your Role

The Pharmacy team provides pharmacy benefit management services and strategies to support Blue Shield of California’s affordability and membership goals. The Sr. Manager, Program and Project Management will provide pharmacy accounts and sales support and will report to the Director, Pharmacy Services. In this role, you will support pharmacy membership growth and retention strategies and initiatives. Additionally, this role is responsible for the leadership of the pharmacy accounts and sales support team to support employer group account management and client renewal, as well as new membership acquisition activities for fully insured and self-funded pharmacy membership. This role will also play a critical part in supporting pharmacy products and initiative strategies development. Your Knowledge and Experience

  • Requires a college degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires 10 years of prior relevant experience, including 4 years of management experience
  • Prior experience in presenting pharmacy program value and observations to clients, brokers, and consultants is preferred
  • Prior experience in pharmacy benefit client contracting with understanding of contracting tactics and marketplace requirements is preferred
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written skills with the ability to understand and convey complex ideas to audience with diverse backgrounds is preferred
  • Strong business acumen with proven experience in strategy development and planning is preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
