What will you be doing?

The Director – APAC Global Partner Alliances is responsible for leading our team of partner managers and operations specialists across the entire APAC region. The Director – APAC Global Partner Alliances will work directly with our key partners, sales/operations/marketing teams and customers to manage and grow the APAC region business.

Key Responsibilities:

Cross-Cultural Team Leadership - Leads a geographically dispersed team of partner management and operations across APAC responsible for building and developing strategic OEM and Distribution Partner relationships.

Regional Partner Strategy - Engages directly with the top strategic technology partnerships (Cisco, Nvidia, Dell, HPE, NetApp, Palo Alto, F5) to expand and grow country specific business in new/existing accounts.

Executive Stakeholder Engagement - Participates in the APAC leadership team to align WWT Sales, Engineering, Marketing, Operations and Services priorities with key OEM partnerships.

Go-to-Market Strategy - Develops a deep understanding of WWT's overall go-to-market strategy across all solution areas and effectively communicates and positions the WWT competitive differentiators.

Partner Program Investments - Leads an Operations team to grow partner funding/investments (rebates/incentives, marketing/MDF, funded resources, MOUs) to drive maximum program benefits for WWT aligned with go-to-market priorities. Guides operational teams to improve/refine operational processes with OEM partners.

Performance Management - Establishes clear Goals & Objectives for the team aligned to WWT regional priorities/goals tracked via KPIs/metrics/dashboards/reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Distribution Partner Strategies & Operations - Creates strategies to manage and scale regional Distribution Partners relationships to maximize WWT market coverage and profitability. Defines and improves key operational processes for country OEM-Distribution partner fulfillment.

Partner Ecosystem Expansion - Recruits, evaluates and prioritizes technology partnerships that can help maximize our regional growth and profitability.

Channel Enablement - Oversees partner training, certification, and onboarding to ensure effective solution delivery to WWT customers. Negotiates key regional agreements resulting in business growth and margin enhancement.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – in a related field (required)
  • Master’s Degree – in a related field (preferred).
  • A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.

Work Experience:

A minimum of 20 years’ progressive experience in a related field, preferably in the IT/Technology/Supply Chain industry. Deep knowledge of the IT VAR industry, including experience with Global OEM and Distribution companies (Cisco, Nvidia, Dell, HPE, NetApp, Palo Alto, F5, Ingram Micro, TD Synnex). Proven track record of growth from partner delivered/supported business across the APAC region. Experience managing partner and customer executive level relationships.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Good PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint)

Travel Requirements:

Up to 30% of the time, regional and international travel

People Management:

This position requires strong people management skills
