What will you be doing?

The Accounting Manager reports to the Senior Accounting Ops Manager. This position will support all levels of the FP&A team and is responsible for communicating any events or activities that may impact the financial results of the business unit. The Accounting Manager will oversee the Cost Accountants and relevant tasks, to ensure accounting is recorded in accordance with GAAP.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the activities of the accounting staff
  • Provide training, guidance, and direction to employees to ensure work is performed in an efficient, timely, and knowledgeable manner
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing and ensure deadlines are met
  • Ensure the company’s financial transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely manner
  • Post journal entries and review account reconciliations
  • Oversee the review of profitability reports and escalate issues with Operations as needed
  • Communicate with all levels within FP&A on financial results
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience required.
  • 8 years' progressive experience in a related field preferred
  • Previous management/leadership experience required with experience recruiting/scaling a finance team, interviewing, performing evaluations and having difficult conversations required
  • Experience leading projects independently with little supervision and direction required
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software suite required
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • Exposure to information technology industry and US/non-US multinationals preferred
  • Willing and able to travel US/Internationally 5-10% of time preferred
  • Demonstrated problem solving, analytical skills and innovative thinking skills are required
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to professionally communicate (verbal and written) at all levels of the business, project management and team leadership experience required
  • Demonstrated customer focus (internal and external) and ability to interface effectively across multiple company departments with strong diplomacy skills required
  • Strong attention to detail and work ethic, personal time management skills and organization required
  • Ability to embrace and provide change management leadership, willingness to lend support and become involved in the details of the business required
  • A strong team player with evidence of professional maturity and self-confidence, ability to embrace change and support multiple groups at one time and ability to work well in a team environment with positive energy required
