The primary objective of this position is to design and lead deployment of enterprise network services across Routing & Switching, Wireless LAN , WAN/SD-WAN , Data Centers, Wireless and Security disciplines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop end-to-end technical network architecture for enterprise Campus and data center networks
- Develop and support comprehensive network LAN, WAN, Wireless and security solutions that meet requirements and integrate into the overall HP Enterprise network and security architecture.
- Create and maintain standard builds/templates and apply advanced network and security engineering and architecture knowledge on complex and diverse problems.
- Prepare and maintain network documentation, diagrams, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct network audits, assessments, and reviews to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Evaluate current network and security systems to propose and implement network system enhancements on Network Switches, Routers, Internet Firewall Services, VPN and other Network Management devices - Defines, designs and implements network and security solutions.
- Lead IT network infrastructure project design, reviews and ensure network architecture goals and requirements and met and aligned with business objectives.
- Performs a full range of complex network designs encompassing multiple technologies and technology layers (LAN, WAN, OS, IOS, ) within a single enterprise network
- Perform post design support to include installation, configuration, and tier III O&M support for both enterprise and field deployed systems including local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN) .
- Troubleshoot and analyze significant, complex network problems that require evaluation of intangibles.
- Research network trends and create architecture roadmaps.
- Conduct network audits, assessments, and reviews to ensure compliance with Industry ( HPE) standards and best practices.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to the network team on Aruba Wireless solutions ( Aruba Central , Aruba Clearpass etc)
- Train and mentor team of network engineer
- Write functional requirements/specifications documents.
- Proven ability to accomplish assigned tasks with little supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Demonstrated confidence with the ability to present and have customer facing conversations
- Establishes best practices through collaboration with IT Security and IT Infrastructure Operations
- Collaborates with IT Security and Client Services toward compliance and auditing.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and/or internationally, if needed.
- Ability to maintain and foster sensitivity and respect for a culturally diverse work environment.
- Ability to manage and prioritize complex, changing workloads in a challenging technical environment
- Ability to travel approximately 20%
Technical Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking and network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, Routing protocols ( BGP/OSPF) , L2 VPN , EVPN and MPLS /L3 VPN .
- Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols including all standards of 802:11a/b/g/N/A.c and supporting protocols including DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, ACL’s, LDAP etc
- Experience managing Datacenter technologies with Juniper switches and routers.
- Experience with SDN, SD-WAN products and services ( Silverpeak , Aruba) , Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities.
- IPv4 and IPv6 experience is must and Strong understanding of network infrastructure, IP addressing, IP traffic management
- Well versed in cloud architectures, software defined networking, data center switching technologies, and securing virtual environments (AWS, Azure, Google desired)
- Knowledge, skills and experience with Aruba routing, switching, and wireless hardware, software and protocols including Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba Instant Aps, Aruba Central, Aruba Activate, Security, Aruba ClearPass
- Knowledge and experience of Juniper Switching and routing hardware and protocols ( QFX /EX/ MX series ) and Junos Software
- Design, configure, deploy, and optimize Aruba Clearpass and Wireless solutions for various network scenarios and requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues related to Aruba Clearpass and Wireless technologies, such as authentication, authorization, encryption, roaming, QoS, RF, and security.
- Monitor and analyze network performance and health using Aruba tools and best practices.
- Familiarity with DHCP/DNS/IPAM ( Infoblox) , Load balancers ( F5 etc ) is plus
- Any experience in network security including: Device Hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, and IPSec, vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection is an added advantage .
Education and Experience requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
- 10 years’ experience in large enterprise network environments
- 10 years’ experience managing networking technologies in both LAN and WAN environments.
- 7 years of progressive experience in network architecture, design, engineering and implementation in global IT networks and network security
Certifications :
JNCIE ( DC or ENT ) /CCIE , JNCNP or CCNP ( enterprise)
Aruba or Juniper Wireless Certifications will be a plus .
