Job Summary
We are looking for a Level III (Senior) Network Engineer with a minimum of 10 years hands on experience configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers. This individual will be part of a small team supporting a medium size enterprise network. We need a detail oriented personable self-starter who can work projects with minimal supervision. Experience with F5 Load Balancers, SIP protocol, and VMWare are a plus.

  • Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and implement network technology related projects
  • Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Ensure future network related roadmap/strategy is sound
  • Fully document network related infrastructure
  • Support / troubleshoot network related infrastructure
  • Be a resource for the Engineering and QA teams with their projects, troubleshooting and implementations to production
  • Assist with other network and development projects as needed
  • Serve on-call duties to support the network for one week approximately every 4-5 weeks
  • After hours changes required on equipment that supports production
  • Occasional travel for network installations

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Education
Minimum/Preferred Education Description
Preferred 4 Year / Bachelors Degree equivalent experience will be considered.
Preferred Certification Cisco certifications a plus

Experience
Minimum Years of Experience Description
10 real world experience managing Cisco Routers, Switches, Firewalls and Wireless and Mobility environments

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • F5 load balancer (LTM/ASM/AFM/GTM) experience a plus
  • Oracle Acme SBC and SIP protocol experience a plus
  • VMware Experience a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication required
  • Network Documentation: Visio, Power Point, Excel, Word, etc.
  • Ability to manage Projects, Technical Resources, Venders, Budgeting, etc.

  • Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
  • Travel is required to support network project deployments to Call Centers, Data Centers and Training. (10% of time)
  • Work Tools: O365, Network monitoring tools etc.
  • This position is full time 40- 50 hours per week with on call support. (Once every 4-5 weeks)
  • Professional Office Setting: Employees enjoy working indoors in an environmentally controlled setting. Employees spend the majority of their time sitting at a desk in a quiet, confidential environment.
  • This job requires consistent attendance and punctuality.
