Job Description:
The Strategic Programs Leader, Office of the CIO reports directly to the Vice President of the Office of the CIO and is responsible for the continuous improvement, transformation, and successful delivery of complex IT programs, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and business objectives. The ideal leader will bring extensive expertise in program management, leadership in technology-driven initiatives, and a strong focus on risk management, quality assurance, and stakeholder engagement. The Strategic Programs Leader, Office of the CIO will collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead program governance, and implement best practices in line with HPE and Project Management Institute (PMI) standards to support HPE’s continued evolution to be the premier edge to cloud provider.
Responsibilities:
- Drives alignment of strategy, prioritization, and execution for large cross functional programs to achieve executive sponsors’ vision of an end state transformation and mitigates critical risks
- Manages global transformational program and project budgets, meeting or exceeding approved budgets
- Owns financial planning and governance of program budgets and delivers accurate financial forecasts to senior management
- Manages complex multi-function and global relationships with senior and executive management
- Leads internal and external resources with a team size generally greater than 60 people
- Mediates critical escalations that has significant impact to program health and drives consensus across the organization on difficult topics
- As a senior leader, responsible for ongoing mentorship and development for individuals across the organization
Education and Experience Required:
- First Level University degree. Advanced University degree preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in project management or in like roles at a global company
- Extensive experience leading large-scale technology transformation programs specific to SAP, Salesforce, or similar software packages
- PMP Certification
Knowledge and Skills:
- Has an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of the critical business success factors
- Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of operational policies, processes and methodologies applicable to project management
- Has an extensive understanding of critical project management techniques
- Recognized as a leader in professional project/program management organizations
