This job is responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of project/small program deliverables which requires the engagement of multiple teams. Key responsibilities include communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync points across teams, providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables, and managing program risk and compliance to standards. Job expectations include ensuring delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.

Overview:

Product Owner for VM Central, the APSE Vulnerability Simplification Platform’s knowledge base for enterprise remediation knowledge and instructions. This role will facilitate a cross-functional work team to identify what vulnerability remediation knowledge needs to be maintained in a centralized repository, establishing a tool-agnostic process to organize and govern the knowledge, and continuously assess tools for storage and presentation of content, including virtual assistant tools. This role will also oversee the technical writer resources assisting with creating vulnerability title instructions as new titles are created and assigned by GIS.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads and coordinates routines to support delivery (for example, kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, and tollgates, etc.)
  • Manages coordination of delivery and dependencies across multiple teams
  • Facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline
  • Provides status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks, issues, and schedule
  • Works with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements
  • Supports resource planning for delivery and execution
  • Ensures adherence with Enterprise Change Management standards

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years as a Product Owner
  • Experience with scoping, creating, and maintaining procedures and work instructions
  • Experience with facilitating and influencing cross functional work groups
  • Understanding and experience with change and quality control procedures
  • Prior experience in Confluence and JIRA to document content and retain knowledge artifacts
  • Interest in assessing emerging knowledge products and artificial intelligence tools
  • Proficient in Microsoft products to include Creating materials that to be presented at a senior leadership level (Powerpoint, Excel, Visio, etc)
  • Basic understanding of IT Application & Server Architecture and Vulnerability Management
