DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Power Choice - Development Leader to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology in Columbus, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

• Developing Software Solutions : By studying information needs, systems flow, data usage, and work processes, you will create effective software solutions that address problem areas and follow the software development lifecycle.
• Documenting and Demonstrating Solutions : Creating flow charts, layouts, and documentation will help communicate your solutions clearly and ensure they are understood and implemented correctly.
• Evaluating Feasibility : Assessing analysis, problem definitions, requirements, and proposed solutions will ensure that the software solutions you develop are practical and meet business needs.
• Preparing and Installing Solutions : Designing system specifications, standards, and programming will ensure that solutions are robust, reliable, and meet organizational standards.
• Recommending Tools and Techniques : Staying updated with state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment will keep your solutions cutting-edge and efficient.
• Improving Applications : Conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures will enhance the functionality and performance of applications.
• Defining Applications and Interfaces : Understanding solution deployment, defining nonfunctional requirements, and communicating requirements for interactions will ensure seamless integration and operation of applications.
• Fostering Quality and Agility : Providing oversight, fostering built-in quality, and supporting team and technical agility will drive continuous improvement and innovation in your projects.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

• College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.
• This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

• Experience working as a software engineer with the following knowledge and experiences are preferred:
• Working in Agile environments
• Fundamental IT technical skill sets;
• Taking a system from coping requirements through actual launch of the system;
• Communicating with users, other technical teams and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines;
• Professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Information:

• Experience with Customer Engineering web tools and processes- required
• Experience with managing onshore and offshore developers- required
• Experience with .net or any of the other programming languages - required
• Experience with Cummins IT processes and tools.
• Experience with either AWS and Azure cloud environment- required.
• Experience with deployment of Container architecture - optional
• Experience with GEN AI, data analytics tools, and pipelines- optional
• Experience with AI Agents and Hyper automation - optional
• This is a hybrid role based out of Columbus, IN

Compensation:

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
