The Role

The Brand Advertising and Sponsorship Leader is a key people-leader role within the Brand Strategy and Activation team at Kyndryl. This team is part of the central marketing organization, driving company-wide strategy and large global initiatives.

In this role, you will plan and execute Kyndryl’s global advertising and branded content to drive awareness, engagement, and build brand equity, aligning with the company’s strategic business priorities and objectives. You will also create an integrated, unique sponsorship program that aligns with our brand mission globally and in the markets we serve. Additionally, your team will extend our brand and creative strategy into experiences designed for our VIP customer executives.

You and your team will collaborate with cross-functional marketing disciplines and Kyndryl’s agency resources to develop differentiated, breakthrough creative assets and experiences. This critical role helps define and craft Kyndryl’s global presence across media and sponsorships, bringing the Kyndryl brand to life for customers, partners, and prospects.

Reporting to the Brand Strategy and Activation VP, you will lead a team that owns the end-to-end process of creative development for global advertising, sponsorships, and select brand experiences. You will work closely with our agency partners to build and drive breakthrough creative that helps us grow the Kyndryl brand.

People Leadership:

  • Coach, mentor, and support a team of strong individual contributors. Ensure strategic alignment between each of their projects and the brand (and company’s) broader objectives.

Senior Stakeholder Relations:

  • Serve as a key member of the Brand Leadership Team, understanding the priorities of the business and reporting back progress to senior stakeholders.

Agency Management:

  • Work together with select external agency partners, overseeing briefs for new campaigns/initiatives, managing scopes of work/retainers against a budget, reviewing and approving creative, and ensuring the agency work remains on-brand and on-strategy.

Advertising:

  • Lead the strategic development and execution of global creative campaigns and initiatives working closely with media, digital and local-market leadership to support the overall brand and the local execution. Manage the production process to maximize creative performance, cost efficiency, and ability to scale globally.

Brand Experience:

  • Support existing brand experience programs that are tailored to VIP executive-level customers.

Sponsorship:

  • Working closely with a sponsorship agency team, craft a unique strategy and approach for a new sponsorship program for Kyndryl. Find synergies between sponsorship opportunities and advertising, media, and brand experience initiatives.

Measurement:

  • Champion a data-driven approach at all phases of creative development including: creative & messaging pre-testing, KPI planning across channels and tactics, optimization based on in-market performance, integration with measurement systems of other functions (i.e. digital, social, brand health study).

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 8+ years managing advertising and sponsorships, working on either client or agency side including people-management experience.

  • Substantial experience managing large-scale brand initiatives or campaigns.

  • Exceptional collaboration capability within a core team and across a full marketing organization.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing experience.

  • Marketing experience in the technology space.

  • Experience working with markets outside of the US (global markets).

  • Experience using marketing analytics to drive creative and media performance

  • Social media experience across platforms.

  • Ability to manage agencies to keep projects on brand and of exceptional quality.

  • Solid PowerPoint skills.

Compensation

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $146,040 to $277,320 based on a full-time schedule.  Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience.  For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.

There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California: $160,680 to $332,760                    
Colorado: $146,040 to $277,320                    
New York City:  $175,080 to $332,760                    
Washington: $160,680 to $305,160                    
Washington DC: $160,680 to $305,160      

             

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.  Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
